Nathan “Nate” Van Der Veer was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his B.A., Political Science, from Auburn University in 2003 and his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007. While at Mississippi College School of Law, Nate was the President of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association (Student Division) and an active competitor on the Moot Court Board. Nate was recognized for his leadership and service by twice being awarded the Roy Noble Lee Scholarship Award (2006 and 2007). While in law school, Nate also founded and coached Mississippi’s first high school lacrosse club at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Mississippi, which is still thriving today.
When he’s not practicing, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and two daughters, Anne Bridges and Molly, as well as any outdoor activities.
