Abbey is a graduate of Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama School of Law. In law school, she was a member of the Campbell Moot Court Board and National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Team. She also served as Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of the Legal Profession, the country’s oldest legal ethics publication. She has experience representing individuals and businesses, plaintiffs and defendants, in both criminal and civil matters. She is admitted to practice in all Alabama state courts, the Northern District of Alabama Civil and Bankruptcy Divisions, and is a certified representative for the Veteran’s Administration and Social Security Administration.
Abbey started her own practice in 2010 with the goal of providing personalized attention and sound, innovative legal advice to every client. With practices in Rainsville and Birmingham, she is able to serve clients all over Alabama. She is a member of The Alabama State Bar, Birmingham Bar Association Solo/Small Firm Section, DeKalb County Bar Association, Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama Roundtable, Rainsville Chamber of Commerce, and the Volunteer Lawyer Programs in Jefferson and Madison County. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and going to concerts.
