Rocky is also a member of the Mississippi Bar Association. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1996, and received his law degree there in 1999. He is licensed to practice law in Mississippi.







Yancy has served as lead counsel in approximately forty (40) state court jury trials, fifteen (15) bench trials, and more than two hundred (200) Mississippi Workers’ Compensation hearings. Yancy was selected as a 2013 and 2014 Mid-South Super Lawyer and is Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney. Yancy also received a Preeminent client review rating by Martindale Hubbell in 2013. He was a member of the Bench-Bar Committee, Mississippi Bar Association (2006-2008), and the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Committee (2007-2008). He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate, a certified member of the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBOTA), and Board Certified member of the Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy section of the NBOTA.
Military Training
Yancy is a former U.S. Army Armor Officer and combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as a Battalion staff officer assigned to 1-198th Armor Battalion, 155th Brigade Combat Team, An Najaf, Iraq. During his tour in Iraq, he also served as the Judicial & Security Liaison Officer to Najaf & Karbala provincial judicial system (U.S. Army; Operation Iraqi Freedom III, 2005-2006). He was honorably discharged at the rank and grade of Major while serving as a Plans Officer & Support Operations Officer, MSARNG.
